CLASS LEVELS

Level I classes:class photos

  • Able to sit in a chair
  • Lie down with or without support
  • Stand without support for 15 minutes

Level II classes:

  • Able to sit in a chair
  • Bear weight on hands and knees
  • Raise arms overhead
  • Bend knees
  • Lie down independently
  • Stand without support for 30 minutes

SATURDAY COMMUNITY CLASS – GENTLE YOGA WITH MEDITATION

Level II Community Class-$5 per class or included in unlimited packages. Viniyoga flows with the breath in a deliberately slow, conscious linking of breath and movement. Gentle, repetitive movements allow the student to find their own alignment in the posture. The function of the posture is emphasized over the form of the posture. Meditation, breathing, visualization and sometimes sounds, are used to reduce stress. Modifications are given to allow each student to work within their comfortable range, and toward their own personal goals. Flexibility and strength increase over time.

Studio Etiquette

  • Please remove your shoes before entering the yoga space.
  • New students: Please arrive 15 minutes before class time.
  • Doors are locked when class begins. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early.
  • Mats are available for your use on a first come, first served basis.
  • Please put away your mat, blankets and props at the end of class.
